Watch closely and you can literally see the mixture and diversity of cultures. You will see signs written in French, Hindu women worshipping at the shoreline, a Mosque, a group of muslim men strolling down the street.
There are scenes of local soccer matches, food vendors on motorbikes, shopping in markets and women washing clothes in the stream. There is some kite boarding closer to the end which must have been the reason the traveller came to Mauritius – mixed with lots of images of the stunning tropical plant life on the island, sunsets and beach shots.
What we really love about this video is the colourful scenes of day to day life of everyday Mauritians. For this reason we love finding amateur footage that we can share – as hotel and tourist board video is always so sterile and setup.
