The new *Lighter,Brighter concept is a resort experience designed to be a lighter, brighter, less complicated island holiday experience. LUX Island Resorts has reported reasonably strong trading for the past quarter, a great result after recently re launching with the new *Light,Brighter concept and undergoing a name change from Naiade Resorts.
Guests have a whole new range of experiences available to them at LUX Island Resorts including kitchen interactions, pop up honesty bars, outdoor beach cinemas strung up between palm or coconut trees and their new Cafe LUX coffee – a whole experience on its own.
The below video is look at the new LUX Cafe featuring Judd Francis of Deluxe Coffee Works, Capetown South Africa. In the video Judd explains the concept, the installation at the resorts and the LUX team are trained on what it takes to make the perfect coffee.
The coffee things might seem small – but it has never really been a feature of any South East Asian or Indian Ocean resorts – and i have never really had a good cup of coffee in Mauritius. LUX is bringing little touches, like quality coffee and freshly squeezed tropical fruit juices that seem insignificant but will provide enormous contrast if the other resorts don’t respond in kind. Even for something like coffee or popcorn at the outdoor cinema on the beach.
In the video below, we see organic chef Natasha Corrett and nutrition expert Vicky Edgson as they peruse the fruit and vegetables on offer at Port Louis looking for the healthiest ingredients for the brand new Honestly Healthy range served at LUX resorts
While fresh, organic ingredients is not a new theme amongst resorts and restaurants, nor is partnering with a health or nutrition expert, the new focus on food and beverage at LUX Resorts can only be a good thing for a already very experienced and well refined team.
The new pop up honesty bar is one I haven’t seen before – the video below is the LUX promo/behind the scenes shoot for the Secret Bar – from puttingonthelux.com | LUX Island Resorts “magazine” arm – I guess a cache for their media and blog.
